Leather Sling Chair

Drawing from design history, Céling focuses on the constant reimagining of designed objects. What constitutes originality and how can this be challenged?

Precedent

Taking cues from “one of the most imitated chairs in modern furniture history” – the Hardoy chair (Butterfly Chair) – and all those reinterpretations of sling chairs, a design language was developed to encompass the attitude of this style of chair and lead the ideation for a contemporary counterpart.

Product – Céling

A leather sling chair with a minimal body and geometric lines. The angular frame is offset by a smooth, flowing leather seat that cradles the user in a reclined position.
